The Room - Live Scrípt Reading with Greg Sestero in Attendance

Co-star, line producer and former Tommy Wiseau roommate Greg Sestero is coming to the Snake Alley Festival of Film to host a live reading of the original draft of the Modern cult classic, The Room! This will be a rare glimpse into the original vision of one of the most iconic cinematic figures of the twenty-first century, featuring settings, dialogue and plot devices that never made it on screen. Greg will reprise his role as Mark, local talent will fill major roles, and minor roles will be read by randomly selected audience members.

Greg Sestero is the author of the best-selling memoir The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room, The Greatest Bad Movie Ever Made, the film adaptation of which recently received an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.  He re-teamed with The Room creator Tommy Wiseau on the currently screening Best F(r)iends, which Sestero also wrote.

Dubbed “the Citizen Kane of bad movies” by Entertainment Weekly, filmmaker/actor Tommy Wiseau’s romantic “disasterpiece” The Room continues to screen to sell out audiences twelve years after its premiere.  It is without argument the most mainstream-recognized example of bad filmmaking since 1959’s Plan 9 from Outer Space.
